Description

House. Late C17, with early and late C19 and late C20 alterations and additions. Lias limestone rubble and brick, with brick dressings and pantile roof. First floor band, dentillated eaves, 2 coped gables, 2 gable and single ridge stacks. 2 storeys plus attics; 4 window range. 4 renewed glazing bar sashes and above, 2 gabled dormers with plain sashes. Below, off-centre C20 brick doorcase with moulded wooden round head, fielded 6-panel door and inscribed fanlight. To left, a segment headed glazing bar sash. To right, a canted C19 bay window with rubble plinth and glazing bar sashes. Right gable has an insurance plaque. In the rear return angle, a C19 2 storey addition with segment headed windows. Rear wing has leaded cross casements and 2 renewed gabled dormers. (EH)
