Description

2 houses, now shop and offices. Mid C18, altered late C20. Brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Chamfered quoins, first floor sill band, coved eaves, 2 side wall stacks. 4 storeys; 5 window range of glazing bar sashes, those to the third floor being smaller. Central window on each floor has moulded surround, and the remainder have lintels with keystones. Below, central rusticated round headed entry doorway with half-glazed door and fanlight, flanked by single late C20 shopfronts. That to left, late C19 style, has panelled pilasters, cornice and 3-light window with wooden mullions. That to right has metal and tile surround and plain fascia. Recessed central door flanked by single pane windows. Rear wing has to east a semicircular stair turret. (EH)
