Description
House. Late C17, early C18 and c.1800. Render over red brick. Plain tile roof. Single ridge and 2 gable stacks. Coped gables with kneelers. the eaves however extend further, being supported on wooden brackets. 2 storeys plus attic, 4 bays, with first floor band. Single left bay being C17, single second left bay C18 and remainder c.1800. Pointed arched entrance leading to inner porch, inner doorway with pointed arched panelled and glazed door. Single marginal lights. To the right is a single two light Gothic glazing bar casement, to the left a doorway with glazing bar double door and Gothic glazing bar overlight. Further left is a single similar 2 light casement. Over the doorway is a single 2 light casement. To the left is a single tripartite casement and to the right 2 similar casements. All have pointed lights and Gothick glazing bars and are set at different levels. The attic has a single plain tile and render dormer with single similar 2 light casement. Over the single outer projecting wings with various Gothic glazing bar casements. Central 2 bay lean-to with single tripartite easement and single 2 light casement to the right, both with mullions and C17 glass. Above is a single 2 light Gothic glazing bar casement. Interior of C17 bay has chamfered beam and C16 moulded re-set bressumer beam. (NCC/js)
