Description

Lodge and attached wall and gateway. Early C19. Ashlar and cement render. Lodge. Hipped slate roof with wide eaves overhang. Single central rendered ridge stack. One and a half storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with panelled door and moulded surround. Open porch with hipped slate roof supported on 2 piers. Either side are single glazing bar cross casements. Above, single central blind panel flanked by single glazing bar casements. The road front has a single blind panel on each floor, that on the first floor being smaller. Projecting from the right is a coped ashlar wall, set on a plinth in parts, 2 metres high, extending for a single metre eastwards where it is broken by a small gateway with wooden gate. The wall extends for a further 2 metres then curves inwards with central large gateway with wooden gate flanked by single rusticated and coped piers. The wall extends a further 2 metres, slopes down and terminates. (NCC/js)
