Description

Public house. Late C18 and C19. Brick with plain tile and slate hipped and catslide roofs. Rebated eaves. 3 gable and single ridge, roof and side wall stacks. 3 storeys, 3 bays. Windows are mainly plain sashes and C20 French windows, with keystoned splayed lintels. South front has central panelled door with overlight, moulded doorcase, shaped brackets and pedimented hood. Flanked by single French windows. Beyond, to right, C19 addition, single storey, with 2 French windows. Above, 3 sashes. Above again, 3 smaller sashes. West end has to left, late C20 flat-roofed addition with 2 casements. To its right, 2 casements. Above, to left, a sash. (NCC/js)
