Description

House: formerly Railway station. c.1848. Gault brick with ashlar dressings, hipped and gabled Welsh slate roof, 1st floor and eaves brick bands receded corners to gables, brackets to deep eaves, 4 large ridge stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays, central bay projecting, Italian style. Central bay has tripartite square bay window with C20 metal frame fixed lights, hipped slate roof and bracketed eaves; flanked by 3 bay canopied arcade with square brick piers and projecting outer bays; beyond, single round headed fixed light on either side. Above, 3 round headed glazing bay casements, flanked by 2 paired round headed casements, all with rubbed brick heads and keyblocks. (NCC/js)
