Description

Farmhouse, 1710, with C20 alterations. Coursed blue lies rubble and brick with pantile roof, brick band on gable, L-plan. West front 2 storeys, 3 bays, central C20 brick porch with pantile roof, flanked by single C19 3 light Yorkshire sashes. Above, C19 glazing bar fixed light and C20 single light casement irregularly disposed on facade. Reef elevation, has datestone in west wall, inscribed "I.O. 1710". Interior of roof has original timbers; principal rafters halved and pegged at ridge with purlins and collars tenoned into rafters. Common rafters tenoned into purlins or notched over them. Stud partition with reed and plaster finish; gypsum floors. (NCC/js)
