Description

Public house. Late C18, remodelled mid C19, with late C20 alterations. Painted stucco with ashlar dressings and hipped slate roof with 2 brick ridge stacks. Plinth, ground floor cornice, quoins, string course, second floor sill band, dentillated eaves. 3 storeys; 3-window range of 12-pane sashes with projecting surrounds and closed pediments on consoles. Above, three 9-pane sashes with eared and shouldered surrounds. Ground floor has a central casement flanked by single wooden-frame cross casements, all late C20. At each corner, a recessed entrance with curved 6-panel double door and overlight. Right return has three 12-pane sashes arranged 1:2, and above, three 9-pane sashes similarly placed. These windows have similar surrounds to those at the front. Below, 2 late C20 casements, and to right, a door with overlight.Left return has 2 sashes on each floor similar to those at the front. Below, 2 casements to right, and a door with overlight to left. (EH)
