Description

Farmhouse. 1737. Brick with steep pitched pantile roof. Rendered plinth, cogged eaves, 2 tumbled coped gables with kneelers, 2 gable and single ridge stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 7 bays, single range with rear outshut. South front has to left, panelled double door with segmental head, flanked to left by a casement and a Yorkshire sash, and to right by a Yorkshire sash and a casement. To right again, a panelled door with rubbed brick head, and to its right, a Yorkshire sash. Above, to left, 5 casements, one leaded, and to right, a Yorkshire sash and a blocked window. East and west gables have each, above, a single casement, C19 and C20. Interior has chamfered span beams with stops, fireplace bressummer, fitted spice cupboard, principal rafter roof with tenoned purlins, and branching dogleg stair with landing, square newels, moulded handrail and wavy splat balusters. 7 plank and 2 panelled doors.
