Description

House and lorry drivers' hostel, former farmhouse. Early C17 and early C18. Part timber framed with a herringbone king post in the left gable, refaced in the C18. White-washed coursed rubble and brick with. projecting chamfered ashlar quoins. Pantile, roof with stone coped right gable, single brick ridge stack and single right gable brick stack. Moulded wooden cornice, 2 storeys, 4 bays. Set on a plinth with 1st floor band. Doorway with part glazed door and bolection moulded ashlar surround with frieze and cornice. To the right is a single glazing bar sash, with 2 similar to the left and 3 on the 1st floor. To the rear is a white washed coursed rubble and brick outshut. (NCC/js)
