Description

Barn. Late C18. Dressed coursed rubble. Pantile roof. Set on a plinth, 2 storeys, 5 bays. Central tall archway with ashlar arch, impost blocks and keystone. To the left is a single blocked window opening and a doorway with wooden stable door. To the right is a single window opening with wooden panel and a blocked doorway. These all have flush ashlar surrounds and break out of smaller openings. Above are 4 openings. The 2 on the right have slatted wooden panels and glazing bar overlights. All have flush ashlar surrounds. To the left, set back, is a lower 2 storey wing with hipped pantile roof. Having. a doorway with wooden door and flush ashlar surround and, to the right, a doorway with double wooden door and ashlar jambs. Above is a doorway with wooden door, to the right is a single opening with wooden slats. Included for group value only. (NCC/js)
