Description

House. Late C18, probably incorporating an earlier building. Dressed coursed rubble. Tiled roof. Single left gable dressed coursed rubble stack. Raised eaves band. To the right is the slightly projecting gable end of the side wing with single dressed coursed rubble gable stack and quoins to the right. L-plan, 2 storeys, 2 bays. Plus 2 storey, 2 bay gable. Doorway with half glazed door, overlight and late C19 decorative wood and tile open porch with decorative barge board. To the left is a single glazing bar sash with ashlar lintel. To the right are 2 smaller glazing bar sashes. Above are 2 glazing bar sashes and to their right 2 smaller glazing bar sashes with ashlar lintels. Road side of 2 storeys, 3 bays. 2 dressed coursed rubble gable stacks and raised eaves band. Central glazing bar sash with ashlar lintel, flanked by single recessed panels under segmental arches. Above are 2 glazing bar sashes with single similar panel and arch to the left. To the right is a lower 2 storey, single bay, wing, with left dressed coursed rubble gable stack and raised eaves band. Single glazing bar sash on the first floor. Further right, set back, is a 2 storey 3 bay wing with dressed coursed rubble right gable stack and raised eaves band. Single, narrow glazing bar sash, with 2 glazing bar sashes to the right. Above is a single, narrow glazing bar sash and to the right a single glazing bar sash. All have ashlar lintels. (NCC/js)
