Description

Cottage. C16. Refronted late C18. Red brick front on a coursed rubble plinth, probable complete timber frame. Pantile roof, 2 red brick gable stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway, panelled door with moulded wooden surround. Flanked by single sashes. To the top right of the doorway is a small glazing bar pointed arched fixed light. Between this and the doorway is a wooden post rising from the plinth to the eaves, there is a similar post at the left angle. On the first floor are 2 sashes. To the left is a coursed rubble and pantile single storey, single bay extension with single sash. The rear has 2 glazing bar Yorkshire sashes, that on the right being larger. Above are 2 glazing bar Yorkshire sashes with a central small glazing bar casement. To the right and projecting is a single storey brick extension. Interior has many visible timbers including on the ground floor a large bridging beam and a chamfered beam, and on the first floor post, brace and tie beams. Some of the doors have L shaped hinges.
