Description

House, former vicarage. Mid and late C18 with C19 and C20 additions. Red brick. Pantile roofs. Late C18 north front with dentil and dogtooth eaves. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with panelled and part glazed door and traceried fanlight. Flanked by single Tuscan three-quarter columns supporting an open pediment. Either side are single tripartite glazing bar sashes. Above are 3 glazing bar sashes. To the left is a lower 2 storey, single bay, wing with single casement in a projecting lean-to and single glazing bar sash above. Projecting to the left is a lower 2 storey single bay early C19 wing with hipped pantile roof, single ridge stack and dentil eaves, single glazing bar Yorkshire sash with single casement above. To the right, set back, is a lower 2 storey single bay C19 wing with hipped pantile roof to the right. Doorway with C20 door and overlight and single glazing bar sash above. To the rear is a mid C18 2 storey, 2 bay wing with steeply pitched hipped pantile roof and central ridge stack. South front with 2 tripartite glazing bar sashes on each floor. To the left and set back is a 2 storey, 3 bay C20 brick and slate wing. (NCC/js)
