Description

Farmhouse. c.1800. Brick with C20 pantile roof. Ashlar dressings, cogged eaves, coped gables, 3 gable stacks 3 storeys, 3 bays. L-plan. windows are glazing bar sashes with splayed keystoned lintels, and C20 casements. Main west front has central reeded doorcase with curved brackets to dentillated open pediment. C20 door with corn shuck fanlight. Flanked by single canted C20 leaded bay windows with casements. Above, 3 glazing bar sashes, and above again, central blank panel flanked by single smaller glazing bar sashes. Rear elevation has, above again, single C20 casement. 2 storey rear wing, 2 bays, has catslide roof and C20 fenestration. Interior has dogleg stair with landing, square newels, and stick balusters, single C19 wooden fireplace with columns. 2 fitted cupboards with panelled doors. Several C19 panelled doors. (NCC/js)
