Description
Stable with loft and living quarters above. Early C18, possibly by Sir Thomas Hewett. Ashlar and coursed squared rubble, with C20 hipped slate roof. Ashlar dressings and moulded eaves. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Main facade has glazing bar lights with overlights and single blocked doorway with overlight; above 4 mullioned casements; right end has to left, chamfered ashlar doorway with keystone, and above, central close boarded batch, c.1914. Rear elevation has to right, single glazing bar sash in blocked doorway, and above, single mullioned casement, and single slatted opening. Interior has framed oak stairs, stud partitions, gypsum floors and principal rafter roof. (NCC/js)
