Description

Farmhouse. C18. Brick with steep pitched pantile roof with stone ridges. First floor and eaves bands, cogged and dentillated eaves, tumbled coped gables, 4 gable stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 5 bays, L-plan. Main east front has central moulded and reeded timber doorcase with small curved brackets to dentillated cornice and pediment. Geometrical overlight and 3-panel door. Flanked by 2 plain sashes with segmental heads. Above, 5 similar sashes. Gable ends have each a single fixed light. C19 service wing to south, 2 storeys, single bay, has to left a C20 casement and to right, plank door, both with segmental heads. Above, a single casement. Outside, ramped brick boundary wall with ashlar coping. Approx. 20m long. (NCC/js)
