Description

Wesleyan chapel. 1832. Brick with pantile roof. Ashlar dressings. Dentillated eaves and pediment, eaves band, coped gable with kneelers. Single side wall stack. 2 storeys, 2 bays. South gable has flanking pilasters and recessed central bay containing central 2 leaf panelled door with rendered splayed lintel. Flanked by single glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick heads. Above, 2 Tudor arched lights with Gothic tracery. Above again, datestone inscribed 'Wesleyan Methodist Chapel 1832'. East side has a mullioned and transomed casement and a blocked opening. North gable has 2 Tudor arched blocked openings. Outside, dwarf brick boundary wall with stone coping, carrying C19 wrought iron railing and gate. (NCC/js)
