Description

House. Late C18. Brick with hipped pantile roof. Plinth, dentillated eaves. 2 side wall and 2 rear wall stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 3 bays, L-plan. South front has central recessed timber doorcase with hood and overlight, containing C20 door. flanked by single glazing bar sashes. Above, central dummy window flanked by single similar sashes, all with segmental heads. Rear elevation has single storey lean-to with a C20 casement, and above, a plain sash. Rear wing has to left a Yorkshire sash and to right a stable door, both with segmental heads. Above, a Yorkshire sash. Interior has common rafter roof with collars and clasp purlins. 3 knee brackets to attic tie beam. Stud and reed partition. Dogleg stair with landing, square newels, vase and stem balusters. Single chamfered span beam. C19 iron kitchen range. (NCC/js)
