Description

House. Dated 1820 over fireplace in north east ground floor room. Red brick with cement render. Hipped slate roof. 3 rendered ridge stacks. Moulded wooden eaves band. 2 storeys, 3 bays. East front has central doorway with part glazed double door and Roman Doric surround consisting of single flanking attached columns, entablature with triglyphs and guttae, modillion cornice and pediment. Either side are single glazing bar casements. Above are 2 similar casements with a single central glazing bar casement with round and traceried head. The garden/south front of 5 bays with slightly projecting central bay. 5 low glazing bar sashes with 5 similar, smaller sashes above. Interior has a dogleg staircase with carved tread ends and plain balusters. (NCC/js)
