Description

Farmhouse. Late C18. Adjoining cottage rebuilt late C20. Dressed stone and brick with slate roofs. 3 gable stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 3 bays. L-plan. Windows are mainly C20 sashes. South front has off-centre door with overlight, flanked to left by single and to right by 2 sashes. Above, 3 sashes, the central one smallest. West end has to left, 2 storey rear wing with door flanked by single casements. To right, a casement. Above, 3 casements. Above again, garret casement. East gable has 2 garret casements. To right, 2 storey service wing, late C18, with doorway and 2 casements. Above, 2 casements. To right again, adjoining cottage wing has to west, door flanked by single casements. Above, 2 casements. South gable has blocked carriage opening. Above, to right, casement with segmental head. East side has 2 casements and above, 3 casements, all with segmental heads. (NCC/js)
