Description

House, now house and post office. Mid C18 and mid C19. Coursed and squared rubble, rendered and pebble-dashed, with steep pitched slate roof. Stone quoins. 3 gable stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets. 3 bays. Windows are flushed mullioned casements and C19 plain sashes, south side has to left, 2 storey service wing with a sash. To right, door with illegible datestone above, flanked by single casements. Above, 3 casements, the 2 to the right blocked. Rear elevation has a central casement on each floor. East gable has to left, single storey lean-to addition, brick and rubble, with pantile roof. Sash and door. To right, door with segmental head, flanked by single sashes. Above, 2 sashes on each floor, those to garret smaller. (NCC/js)
