Description

Footbridge carrying Trent towpath over a side stream. Late C18. Dressed stone. Rectangular opening formed by single stone lintel. Chamfered plinth course. Low dressed stone parapet with rounded coping. The Trent footbridges were built to form a towpath and allow drainage from side streams into the river. The towpath along the Trent was completed by 1784. (NCC/js)
