Description

Dam and sluices. Late C18. Coursed squared stone and ashlar. Dam wall approx 3m thick and 20m wide, has a central cutwater flanked by single elliptical-arched sluices, closed on the water side by side by vertical wooden sluice gates and operating gear. On either side, flanking walls. To east, a stepped spillway. The western section of this structure is within the parish of Pleasley, Bolsover District, Derbyshire. (EH)
