Description

c.1700. Attributed to Huntingdon Shaw. Fine set of railings and gates built on a quadrant with stone piers at ends with tapered pilasters and ball finials. The double carriage gates have elaborate scroll work supporting pilasters with an overthrow decorated with scrolls and other features. Railings with spear tops etc. The ironwork is much decayed and there are many pieces missing. (NCC/js)
