Description
House. Late C18 with late C19 alterations. Sandstone ashlar, with ashlar dressings. Slate roof with ashlar coped gables, two gable stacks and a single rear wall stack. Three bay, two storey. West front has central doorway with painted ashlar surround with pilasters and entablature hood, plus four panel door with overlight. Either side are single plain sashes with plain raised surrounds, and above three similar plain sashes. Above moulded eaves band. Rear doorway in flush ashlar surround with four panel door, to the left a glazing bar sash and above a plain sash. To right a tall stair window with glazing bars. INTERIOR has single flight return stick baluster staircase, and two late C18 marble fireplaces. (NCC/js)
