Description
House. Early C17. Dressed stone with traces of timber framing, plain and pantile roofs. Dressed stone plinth. 2 gable and single side wall stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, T-plan. Windows are C20 casements, 3 to south front have chamfered and coyed reveals and remains of mullions. Front has central Tudor arched doorway flanked by single casements. Above, 2 casements. West gable has a casement to left on each floor. East gable has reverse handed similar fenestration with blocked opening to garret. North gable has a single casement on each floor, that above with hood. Rear wing return angle has a casement and a door, C19 and C20. Ground floor rooms have stop chamfered span beams. That to left has fireplace bressummer and early C19 fitted glazed cupboard. First floor has cambered span beam, and to south, remains of a bay post. (NCC/js)
