Description
Two barns adjoining at right angles and integral pigeoncote under continuous roof. Late C18. Brick with pantiled roof and stone hips. Cogged eaves. West barn has, to west, a pair of off-centre barn doors with rubbed brick head and timber lintel and closing boards at the foot. To left, 2 glazing bar casements one with segmental head; to their right, 2 triple and one double superimposed diamond breathers. To right again, 2 triple diamond breathers, and above, pitch hole with close boarded hatch. East side has barn doorway with flanking buttresses and to left 2 double diamond breathers; to right, 2 triple diamond breathers and single casement with segmental head. North barn has, to north, pair of off-centre barn doors with segmental head, flanked to left by 2 and to right by single casements. Beyond, to left, single slatted opening flanked by single round openings. Above, to left, 2 C20 casements and to left again, 2 small round openings. To right, 2 double diamond breathers. Pigeoncote, to left, has first floor band. 2 small round openings and above, single C20 casement. South side/has to left, barn door opening with timber lintel and to right, 6 C20 casements, the 3 to the right with segmental heads. Above, 2 C20 casements and to right, 2 round openings. Pigeoncote, to right, has small round opening, door and to right, C20 garage door. Above, tall C20 casement. Both barns have principal rafter roofs with double butt purlins. (NCC/js)
