Description

Pair of cottages and adjoining knitters' workshop, now a house. Late C18 and early C19. Brick with pantile roof. Cogged eaves. Single ridge and gable stacks. 2 storeys, 7 bays, single range. Windows are C19 and C20 casements and Yorkshire sashes. Ground floor openings have mainly segmental heads. Front has to left, door flanked by single casements. To right, a door and 2 casements. To right again, 2 casements flanked by single larger openings containing C20 plank panels. Above, to left, small casement, flanked by single Yorkshire sashes. To right, C20 casement and a Yorkshire sash. To right again, 2 large knitters' windows, that to right with C20 glazing. Gable to street has single casement. (NCC/js)
