Description

Public House. Late C18. C19 additions and alterations. Brick, colourwashed, with C20 gabled pantile roof. Cogged and dentillated eaves, 2 coped gables with kneelers. 3 gable and single external gable stacks. 2 storeys, 9 unequal bays. H- plan. West front has to left C19 addition forming link to C19 stable to left. To right, projecting C18 wing. Stable, to left, 2 storeys, 3 bays, has to south east, central door with segmental head, flanked by single C20 casements. Above, central blocked opening flanked by single casements. Single storey C19 building, to right, has central half glazed door with overlight, and to right, a casement. Main range, to right again, has to left a timber framed canted bay window linked to continuous timber framed verandah, with hipped and lean-to plain tile roofs. 7 glazing bar sashes. Above, 3 small glazing bar sashes with shutters. Single bay east wing, 2 storeys, has veranda with casements, and beneath it, door with flanking lights. Above, single glazing bar sash with shutters. South gable has 2 small glazing bar sashes. Interior has chamfered fireplace bressummer and span beam. (NCC/js)
