Description

Stables and attached boundary wall. c1870. Yellow brick with stone dressings and slate roofs. Gothic Revival style, in keeping with Normanton Hall. 2 parallel single storey ranges, 6 bays, at right angles to the street. Gables at street end have traceried bargeboards. Each has a hatch with Gothic fretwork and hood mould. Right gable has also a blocked opening below. Between the gables, a pair of gates with square capped piers. To the left, a brick boundary walk with stepped stone coping and a doorway to the right. Included for group value. (NCC/js)
