Description

House. C17, clad in brick C18, with C20 alterations. Timber- framed and rendered brick, with a plain tile half-hipped roof and a large external brick stack. Single storey plus attics. 2 bay, former hall house. South, entrance front has off-centre doorway, with C20 gabled porch and C20 glazed door. To the left a 2 light casement, and to the right a 4 light bow window above 2, 2 light raking dormer windows. All the windows are C20. Interior has surviving portions of original timber framing. Most of the major post survive, and the linking wall plates with strengthening arch braces. The 2 trusses survive in part. Inserted chamfered spine beams. C20 staircase. (NCC/js)
