Description

Ice house. Early C19. Red brick. Central doorway with wooden door and ashlar lintel. Flanked by single shaped walls. That to the left recedes, whilst that to the right projects. Interior. A short passage with 2 niches and evidence of 2 insulation doors leads to the round, domed, storage chamber.Cottage and shop. Early C18, remodelled C19 and early C20. Stuccoed and painted. Pantile roof with rendered right gable and kneeler. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with half glazed door and overlight. To the right a large sash shop window and panelled stable door with entablature supported on small wooden brackets running over both. To the left is a C20 casement under a segmental arch, with 3 similar casements and arches above. Included far group value only. (NCC/js)
