Description

Stables. Mid C18. Brick with dressed stone plinth and hipped plain tile roof. Cogged eaves, pedimented coped central gable with ball finials. 2 ridge and single sidewall stacks. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Glazing bar Diocletian windows with central ventilators. Main east front has projecting central bay with 2 storey round headed recess containing central stable door with fanlight. To left, door with overlight in altered window opening. To left again, single window. To right, a window and to right again, door with fanlight. Above, central doorway with segmental head, flanked by 2 windows. Above again, clock in pediment. Rear elevation has to left, door flanked to left by a casement and to right by 2 casements. To right again, another door and a small casement. All openings have segmental heads. Above, a louvred ventilator. (NCC/js)
