Description

2 pairs of cottages. Early C19. Red brick, rendered bases. Hipped slate roofs. Each with single ridge red brick stack. Each 2 storeys, 4 bays. Each with 2 segmental arched casements flanked by single segmental arched doorways, mainly glazing bar casements, but that of No.10 lacking segmental arch, mainly plank doors. Above are 2 glazing bar casements, No.4 being a Yorkshire sash. Attached to Nos 4,6, and 8 and set back slightly are single storey red brick and hipped slate extensions. Extending in front for 27 metres is a sunken C19 decorative brick pavement. Included for group value only. (NCC/js)
