Description

Farmhouse, formerly house and barn. Early C18, late C19 with C20 alterations. Red brick, the right 3 bays on a concrete plinth. Plain tile roof. single ridge and right gable red brick stacks. Dogtooth and raised brick eaves. 2 storeys, 8 bays. Having from left to right a doorway with plank door, a single small casement, a doorway with C20 door, a single tripartite casement, a single quadripartite casement, a single tripartite casement under segmental arch, a C20 projecting semi-circular porch with glazing bar door and a single tripartite casement under segmental arch. Above left to right is a single tripartite casement, a single small casement, two 2-light casements, a single tripartite casement, a single 2-light casement and a single tripartite casement. Interior has a decoratively carved fireplace and overmantel inscribed "T.G. 1698", this has been moved from elsewhere and is part C19. Chamfered bressumer and other beams. Dogleg staircase with fretted balusters. C18 panelled doors with L shaped hinges. Included for group value only. (NCC/js)
