Description

House, formerly house and shop. Early C17 timber frame with late C18 red brick cladding, some dressed coursed rubble and render. Rubble plinth. Pantile roof. 2 gable and single ridge red brick stacks, the right being external. Visible wall plate. 2 storeys, 5 bays, the right 2 bays slightly project. Having from left to right a doorway with wooden door, a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash, a single Yorkshire sash, a doorway with part glazed door and gabled wood and felt trellis porch and a single Yorkshire sash. Above is a single small casement and on the far right a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash. Left/road front with ground floor of dressed coursed rubble has a single C20 shop window. Above is a single Yorkshire sash with to the right a metal Cadbury's Cocoa sign. Attached to the right is a red brick and pantile single storey 4 bay outbuilding now part converted to domestic use. Having a single casement and to the right a single Yorkshire sash with 2 segmental arched doorways with plank doors further right. Interior has many beams and evidence of some posts. (NCC/js)
