Description

War memorial. 1920. Paid for and designed by Mr Henry Cowlshaw and erected on land donated by Mr Drinkwater. Polished pink granite. Square plan with four lower steps all rock-faced. Above a tapering base, with double chamfered plinths, inscribed with the names of those who fell in the Great War, the Second World War and the Korean War. Moulded cap surmounted by tall broken Doric column. The column top is now situated on the lower corner step.
