Description

Almshouse. c 1785. Built for Ralph Babthorpe. Red brick with a hipped pantile roof and a single central stack. Single storey, 2 bays. Garden front has plank doorway to the left, with a wooden lintel which extends to the right over a small, two light sliding sash, beyond to the right, a 3 light sliding sash, and beyond again a lean-to with a small fixed light. The interior contains a single stone bracketed fireplace. (NCC/js)
