Description

Lodge. Mid C19. Crenellated style. Brick, rendered, with concrete tile roof. 2 decorative bands, crenellated parapets, 3 side wall and single roof stacks. 2 storeys, 5 unequal bays. U-plan. Walls and parapets have ashlar copings. Windows are C20 casements, mostly in original pointed openings. Main north front has square central block with flanking walls and beyond, single wings. Central block has recessed central bay with pointed headed recess, containing 3 casements and door. Projecting flanking bays have each a single pointed blank opening, and above, a single cross opening. Each flanking wall has a doorway with segmental head. Flanking wings have each a pointed blank opening containing, to left, a casement and to right, a door. Main block has to south remains of 3 pointed openings containing central C20 door flanked by bow windows. Above, 3 pointed openings containing casements. East side has, above, pointed opening with casement. All other fenestration C20. (NCC/js)
