Description

House, now a youth and community centre, and adjoining boundary wails. Late C18, with mid C19 addition connecting the rear wing to the former coach house. Brick with stone dressings and hipped slate roof. Plinth, rebated eaves, 2 gable, single side wall and 3 rear wall stacks. 3 storeys; 3 window range of glazing bar sashes, the flanking ones tripartite. L-plan. On the second floor, similar fenestration with smaller windows. Central doorcase with solid cheeks, open pediment and 6-panel door with overlight. On either side, single tripartite sashes. Right side has a shallow 2-storey bay window with a tall glazing bar sash above and a smaller sash in a round headed opening below. Outside, front boundary wall, to right, has stone slab coping and to left, 2 blocked round headed doorways. Approx. 20M long. Rear boundary wall has a stepped brick coping and to right a round headed close boarded door. Approx. 20M long. (NCC/js)
