Description

Garden walls and gateway. 1862. By S.S. Teulon for the 10th Duke of St. Albans. Brick with ashlar dressings. Double cogged eaves, ashlar corbels, gabled moulded brick coping. Single storey. Square plan, approx. 80M. each side. Pierced south wall has brick ornament and pointed rebated central gateway with elaborate crow stepped gable and finial. Wrought iron gates. Pair of flanking piers with square finials. This building is a detached part of the outbuildings of Bestwood Lodge. (NCC/js)
