Description

Cottage. Mid C18, altered mid C19 and C20. Brick, incorporating much re-used timber framing, with pantile roof. Plinth, dentilled eaves, single ridge and single side wall stacks. Windows are C19 and C20 casements. 2 storeys; 3 window range. West front has a central 2 light window flanked to left by a similar window and to right by a single one. Below, a central 3-light window flanked to left by a smaller window, both with segmental heads, and to right by a blocked opening. To right again, a C20 latticed wooden porch with gabled roof, covering a close boarded door. South gable, to street, has 2 C20 casements of different sizes, and above, a single 3-light one. Interior has a single bay post with arch brace, and re-used spine beams and wall plates. Single purlin roof, mainly C19, with re-used purlin and principal rafter. North end has massive internal stack, with C19 kitchen range. Included for group value. (NCC/js)
