Description

A watching brief was conducted during the mains reconditioning work in the villages of Walesby, Wellow, and Boughton. The total length of pipe was approximately 6km and ran from SK668657 to SK685708, along the side of the A616 and B6387. No archaeological features were found. (1) Part of this scheme involved crossing the SAM at Jordan's Castle (M4096). Some possible Med ploughsoil was encountered, but no archaeological structures or artefacts. (2) Grid ref for S end.
