Description

A programme of geophysical survey and trial trenching was undertaken during January 1992 to evaluate the archaeological significance of a mound which previous field walking had shown to have archaeological potential. A resistivity survey showed several anomalies, two of which were excavated but no archaeological features were found. (1) See E895 for trial trenching. See E9104 and E9105 for fieldwalking and watching brief
