Description
Watching brief on water main trench for Severn Trent Water Ltd approx 300m in length from above NGR to SK 569675. The trench was excavated by a JCB back actor with a 0.35m toothed bucket, to a max width of 0.5m and depth of approx 1m. Deposits of red-brown sand containing lenses of rounded pebbles could be seen (natural Bunter Sandstones). No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded. (1)
