Description
A Watching Brief took place during the demolition and reconstruction of the retaining wall around the N side of the graveyard. The 35 m long wall was demolished in successive 3 m lengths to enable the section to be recorded safely. The total depth of section exposed was 1.82 m. This was recorded at 1:20 scale and all finds individually plotted. A photographic record was kept but photographs were poor, owing to the darkness caused by the need to screen the work form the public. (1)
