Description

The site was investigated using hand excavated trial trenches which were then manually back filled. The location of the trenches was determined by the results of the topographical survey. (1) NB Plan in (1) is inadequate, NGR estimated from plan - "S extent of SAM" is incorrect, it is a removed field boundary. Trenches located between trackway and cliff edge. Date in excavation Index was given as 1991. (2) See E129 for Trench 2, E8010 for Trench 3, E8108 for Trench 4, E708 for Trench 5.
