Description

Site due to be destroyed by Newark Relief Road. Two trenches were excavated mechanically to the top of the undisturbed subsoil; one across the supposed line of circumvalation, and the other approximating to a 'T' shape across the supposed location of the S sides and interior of the redoubt. No trace of any earthwork was found. (2)
