Description

I breaking up a piece of ground under the E side of the archbishop's palace, in the year 1793, to make a garden for one of the gentlemen of this church (The Rev Mr Bristoe). (Ro remains) found at the depth of 5 or 6ft from the surface. (1) See also E3567 and E3571 for finds in this area. NB this may be the same discovery as E3567, just with the wrong date, or it could be a new event.
